A growing internet phenomenon and basis for many people's beliefs, this self proclaimed leader and the disclosure movement is making an attempt to persuade the government to publicly announce the existence of extra-terrestrial species to the public. But is it a pure and well intentioned as it seems? (This is a continuing and unfinished examination.
Now when I first started watching Dr Steven M. Greer's videos on youtube I was over-joyed. I am in awe at the prospect of a world wide awakening due to an extra-terrestrial encounter, and give my ear to any who may claim it possible. But I've been duped time and time again, and wasn't going to let it happen again.
The first reason I'm skeptical is because I'm unsure of the credibility of Dr. Greer. The search began within the articles at OCAD University library. Amazingly there was Dr. Steven Greer being mentioned in medical records as a world-wide recognized expert in palliative care—services for patients with cancer in order to reduce physical and emotional suffering. But later on I discovered that this was not the same person. Dr Steven M. Greer is a different man than Dr H. Steven Greer. The only professional article mentioning Steven M. Greer was from the Skeptical Inquirer. It went on to debunk some testimonies from the ex-military men in the disclosure movement.
Update March 15 (2012)—Apparently Dr. Greer was a practicing physician in an emergency room. Continuing investigation is currently being made into where he got his degree and if this claim is true. If true, this may add to his credibility.
Update March 19 (2012)—No evidence supports that Dr Greer went to school anywhere. If anyone can locate this information that states otherwise please leave it in the comments.

One can argue that those are very legal ways of raising funds for his projects. He cannot give away the books for free since he is not a millionaire. But it seems paradoxical that the 'pioneers of future truth', serving to wake up humanity's sleeping mind and idle state of existence, would ask such a high price.

ReplyDeleteI will share some of the info you requested about Dr. Steven Macon Greer. I have trained with Dr. Greer and I can tell you that he is quite an amazing, dedicated person, and definitely not a "fake". He was an emergency room physician and chair of the emergency department when he gave up his career ($600,000) per year to do this work full time. He currently receives no salary, nor does his ER colleague, Dr. Jan Bravo. CSETI is a non-profit organization and the training fees are used to cover expenses of all kinds including professional filming equipment, travel to trainings and to interview witnesses, renting private land for the CE-5 work, etc.
Here is what I am aware of regarding his CV. You can find him listed in Alpha Omega Alpha (prestigious medical society)--just do a member search. He was chairman of the department of emergency medicine at Caldwell Memorial Hospital in North Carolina. I cannot believe that so many responsible people from various backgrounds (some of which I have confirmed personally) would be lying to the world. I am however a little concerned that the information you have given is accurate. I followed your suggestion and searched the two websites you listed.In Alpha Omega Alpha: There was no record for Dr Steven Macon Greer and the other website address would not work Despite my trying repeatedly. I hope you are able to clarify this as I do very much believe that we are not alone in this vast universe. I look forward to your reply.

ReplyDeletecan anyone tell us when the new documentary film (http://www.sirius.neverendinglight.com) will be public? I find it a bit strange that there is no update on that site. And there you can see that the release of the funds would happen on Dec. 5th. We passed that! He collected much more than the targeted $250k. So, where is the film?
Another point is:
This disclosure project was founded back in 2000. Come one, 12 years have passed and there is not even one progress. How long should this disclosure thing take? And: If our governments are not doing it, what about the ETs? If they are so developed why dont they begin the disclosure? Or do they also think that "we are not ready" ???

As for the ETS beginning disclosure ... if they landed they would freak people out and cause major chaos. Instead, there are increased UFO sightings. I've even seen one! So have 2 of my close friends, all within the past few months. Things are becoming harder to deny!
Damn. I'd love everything he says to be true and I was really excited about it...but...when I saw a documentary about supposed structures on the moon, my scepticism grew very high. Correct me if I'm wrong, I may not remember it correctly, but I think they said that the structures are located even on the side facing towards Earth. This is strange, because there are many observatories in the World and each of them would be able to see those structures. So why don't we have this information from any other source than Dr. Greer?

ReplyDeleteI am really happy that there are people with an open mind who are willing to listen and do objective research with regards to the Disclosure project. I have watched many hours of videos of eyewitness accounts, read extensive articles, many of which are not associated directly with the disclosure project. The quality of many of the eyewitnesses cannot be easily refuted. I have yet to see or read someone who can honestly, without bias, discredit the credibility of people like Edgar Mitchell, Gordon Copper, Nick Pope, Fife Symington, Jesse Marcel etc (The list goes on) with a consistent argument that gives an alternative, plausible explanation for the incidents that these men attest to. A scenario which we (Our Society)think isn't likely based on our current worldview, doesn't mean it should be ruled out, especially with the overwhelming evidence and quality eyewitness accounts we have available. In my opinion the best approach, is an intellectually honest, objective approach, no matter which side you are more inclined to. Only by taking such an approach will we be closer the the truth.

DeleteI totally agree with what you say. It is absolutly necassary to approach this with intellect and open minded skepticism. Too many dis honest people have discredited these critical subjects, with lies, mis information and false claims. Which is a shame for the people who yearn for the disclosure of this information and want to see the 100% solid truth.
I think if this Sirius documentary as well as Dr Greer turn out to be another elaborate hoax, parading lies and false information I think I'm just going to give up on believing in people. This planet is sick as a dog and is desperate for change, It's sufferd enough Liars and corruption, It's desperate for true leaders and pioneers of truth and prosperity. Else I fear our place as an intelligent species capable of almost anything, is doomed to die a lonley and sad end.
These are very true but sad words, James. I'm amazed at the way people are using intelligence to deceive each other in a growing attitude of mistrust and blind believe / disbelieve (either ways). This activity takes up most of the time, compared to (what should be) the bulk of the matter.
DeleteWe are always limited by what we are ready to believe, aren't we ! But it works both ways. So, it is only through openminded skepticism that we can progress in this jungle of informations...
Another elaborate, year long hoax would be quite choking. But humans CAN be quite choking at times. May good intention prevail. No good ever comes out of trichery.

DeleteClose mindedness is just as ignorant as denial. People who have the slightest disbelief will consider information that discredits a subject to be true almost immediately, yet when information provides credibility the same close minded person is quick to call it false, or a conspiracy. There is PLENTY giving Greer the credibility he deserves, but ignorance is a factor when dealing with "out of the box" subjects. Someone who watches (and believes) the news every day finds it hard to believe in something they do not see every day, or they do not feel is socially common grounds. Just because CNN and Fox News doesnt cover it, does not mean it doesnt exist. Go research Bohemian Grove before you wonder if so many high ranked government officials could lie to you about SO much. The deception goes way beyond UFO cover ups.
ReplyDeleteIts already claer that there is extraterristrial live in the uniververse everywhere. This is confirmed in the vedic texts. There it is said then in ervery single Planet there is live and that there are 8 400 000 species in this universe and out of that there are 400 000 different human species. Dr. Greer claims to have studied the Vedas. But the Vedas dont confirm his claim that there are only good beings out there at all. There are war s descriped. And many of His claims and sayings regard Spiriutality seem to be very New Age like, which i would see always critical. The New Age scene is based on the esoteric Movement which has "stolen" a lot of transcentental knowledge of the vedas and presented it in an unauthorized way. So as a follower of the ancient vedic culture i see all this modern New Age subjects sceptical.

It doesn't make him anymore believable ..my father brother and I own a pharmacy and we ban drs prescriptions all the time because they're scummy sacks of shit that hook people on oxycontin and cap like that for 150 dollars. So being a Dr makes him no more credible to me than my neighbor being a mailman does. And if he's so for the truth explain this , the man says he has a hand held device that can power an entire city for free but he won't show it to the public. He also claims to be able to call down ufos telepathically to within 10 feet but he never tapes it. Which is suspect considering all the commercials he's posted for his dumb movie the sucked that follow him paid for ..he managed to post 8000 hours of himself to youtube ...posted every tall tale all his bulls hit lies just to suckered people into giving him money. ReplyDeleteI want to believe. I really do think that there is a credibility to his conspiracy ideas. If we look at the imbalance of the wealth of the world and the heart breaking poverty we live with and sadly accept we really are sheeples. That is just the tip of the iceberg the fossil fuel nightmare the fact that some time soon we will run out of that and food will soon be in short supply. Our economic society has a simple fault, it depends on growth, our planet is limited, growth means bigger, bigger economies for each country it doesn't work greed and our nature stuffs it up and it is finite to begin with. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the answer was just around the bend, alien technology, a fairer world order?

What I do know is that he says on a universal level of morality and spiritual development we are zero and the aliens are perhaps 300 to 500 level, honestly in our hearts we don't need aliens to tell us that, we have a long way to go. Statistically aliens are probably true the universe is too big and vast for it not to be.
We are all here on our little rock and we need to make a choice toward a better planet, that part of it no one needs to tell us. The end of the movie, Contact Jody Foster says "we are capable of such beautiful dreams and such horrible nightmares".. True or fake Greer is on track about a direction we can go in, to improve as people, if we did that all 7.5 billion of us may find a better question than is he a snake oil salesman.

Does Dr. Greer really think we went to the moon with the Apollo program, if so we really need to look at him with very jaundiced eyes; we did not go, we could not have gone, NASA now says we cannot put a human any further than low earth orbit, so how was it achieved in 1969 when technology was laughingly nonexistent for the most part, no guidance computers, can't get through the Van Allen belts, and the list goes on, ad infinitum, ad nauseam. Ask him if he believes we did!
